Jimmy Buffett

by Amanda Flinner

All this time we thought Jonathan Goldsmith, the guy from the memeworthy Dos Equis beer ad, was "The Most Interesting Man in the World," when the title should've gone to Jimmy Buffett. The tropical troubadour has been making music - and, at times, trouble - for decades. The "Margaritaville" singer has made headlines a number of times for his misadventures, whether he's crashing his seaplane, befuddling French authorities, angering referees, or surfing in a hurricane. So it's about time he got his own Fact or Fiction. Let's see how well you know Jimmy Buffett.

  • Stacy from San FranciscoI’ve had the pleasure of meeting him 3 times. 2 times at book signings in Beverly Hills and 1 time on the beach in front of Duke’s in Waikiki. He had just caught a wave and there I was! I only wish I had something prolific to say. But instead I was so nervous I was a babbling fool. RIP Jimmy. I got all of the answers correct.
  • Dave from Kailua Kona HawaiiI will always miss JB. I lived in New Orleans and Biloxi and worked in Pascagoula MS too. Saw JB do a show (under the Riverwalk mall in NO) when he was too drunk to sing or play guitar (acoustics so bad it didn't matter). Heard him sing like an angel in a concert in Va Beach on the first date of a tour, wow, he could really belt it! from the third row.
  • Doni from Hendersonville NcSure do miss JB
  • Bruce from Tampa FlCant Believe I missed 4
  • Lauryl Cudillo from Michigan Only 1 wrong. Not bad for a long-standing Parrothead
