Songfacts®:

  • This song refers to being in a strip club. Apparently, the hostesses at the club are very attractive and the members of 2 Live Crew wish to involve themselves in intercourse with them. They express they are willing to pay because they find their appearance to be very pleasing. There is also a reference to the security guards who keep watch of the venue to be intimidating, however they are only mentioned once in the song. >>

  • B.l. from Barry, TxMy brother bought "Sports Weekend" on casette tape sometime in the mid-1990s at "Bud's Outlet" a clearance discount store spun off from Wal-Mart by Bud "Sam's Brother" Walton in Gun Barrel City, Texas. We listened to that tape so many times on his red '91 Dodge Daytona's stereo that we literally wore it out. I later bought the CD and carry the entire album around on my 8GB SanDisk Sansa Clip+...it's been on everyone of my digital audio players.
