Songfacts®:

  • A deep track from the wildly successful Back In Black album, "Let Me Put My Love Into You" proved that new lead singer Brian Johnson could pen a lascivious lyric just as well as Bon Scott, who he replaced after Scott died earlier in 1980. He sings:

Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me cut your cake with my knife
  • In 1985, the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) proposed a ratings system for albums with lyrics dealing with violence, sex, drugs, alcohol or the occult. Any number of AC/DC songs could have fit at least some of these criteria, but they chose this one for their list of the "Filthy 15" songs they found most reprehensible. The PMRC wasn't granted their wish of content-specific ratings, but they did get warning stickers placed on albums with explicit content. AC/DC, whose fans are well aware of their lyrical content, got a nice boost from the proceedings.
