Songfacts®:

  • Frontman Mark Tornillo explained the song's meaning to NPR: "Eventually, we all take that final journey and when we do, we will most surely travel alone," he explained. 'Where to?' is the question!"
  • The song incorporates Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg's "Morning Mood" during its last few minutes. Lead guitarist Wolf Hoffmann stated that his love for classical music goes back to the early 1980s "When I write a song, it mostly starts with a riff.," he said. "A riff sets a mood, a mood sets my emotions in motion and then ... a bridge evolves between that mood and the most wonderful pieces written by the Old Masters. I do not have to search for what would make it into a song. I seem to have an endless pool of remembrance .... It is always there when I need it."

Wolf Hoffmann covered another Grieg piece, "Hall of the Mountain King," on his solo album Classical as well as performing it many times live with Accept.
