  • Broward County, Florida native Antoine McColister, is a rapper who is better known by his stage name Ace Hood. McColister attended Deerfield Beach High School and following a football injury in the start of 10th grade, began to seriously consider rapping as a career. DJ Khaled heard of the young rapper's reputation through the underground circuit and after getting him to rap outside the offices of a radio station, he made Ace his first signing on his label, We the Best. Just a few weeks later, he was inked to Def Jam.
  • McColister explained to MTV News says his nickname means he's a force to be reckoned with. "Every time you think of 'ace,' you think of 'one,'" he said. "I always took myself as an army within itself."
