Songfacts®:

  • This song is based unashamedly on "I Am The Walrus." In Neville Judd's authorized biography, Stewart explains that The Walrus "could've been anyone with long hair at UFO [a famous if short-lived London music venue], anyone with a gold face or whatever and I've symbolised him as being the symbol of the Woodstock dream" adding "It is the suicide song of the Walrus." >>>

  • Greg from Shelbyville, KyThe liners notes from Al himself:
Any resemblance between "terminal eyes" and "I am the walrus' is intentional Terminal Eyes is a suicide song, both about an individual, and less obviously, about the movement in popular music in the middle to late sixties. For Egg-men everywhere.
