• "Waiting For Margaux" is the first track on this CD, which is a concept album based on wine! Stewart is himself a connoisseur and has devoted much of his disposable income to stocking the wine cellar at his California home.
• The song was originally called "Miami Miami"; the lyrics were a skeleton to develop the melody, but the chords remained the same. Margaux is an enigmatic American lady; she lives in Washington, and is both slightly Ivy League-ish and slightly subversive. Al said when he wrote the final lyrics he tried to use the language of the Washington Post rather than that usually used in middle of the road songs.
• Although Margaux is an entirely fictional character, Al added that he did actually know someone who like her kept a suit of mediaeval armor inside (his) front door. The only thing he knew for certain about the song when he was writing it was that he wanted congas on it!
  Like the rest of the album, "Waiting For Margaux" was produced by his regular collaborator Laurence Juber; the demo was made at Juber's home studio. >>
