Songfacts®:

  • Alexandra Savior co-wrote this song with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner. Arctic Monkeys, Last Shadow Puppets and Florence + The Machine producer James Ford was the guy twiddling the knobs.
  • The music video was directed by Savior and New Zealand director Sam Kristofski. The singer told Artist Direct that she'd learned from the mistakes made when filming the previous visual:

"Well for 'Mystery Girl' I made that one with my boyfriend, and he's a really talented filmmaker called Sam Kristofski, and he had this vision of things being very repetitive, and using lots of red lighting and blue lighting," Savior said. "So, we wanted to do it all at night, and have not have it… I'd already made the 'Mirage' video and I wasn't very happy with it, so I wanted this one to be a little more vague. I felt that the other was… the story was told in too much detail, so we worked just on getting some interesting imagery and making it feel like a 90's David Lynch thing. It was a little less organized, it was a little more vague than 'Mirage.'"
