  • Alice Merton introduces herself to her listeners on her Mint album by sharing a side to her that they may not be aware of.

    Shakin' fingers
    Chest gets tighter now
    Try to stay calm
    Try to come back down

Meron explained in an Instagram commentary that she has a lot of fears. "I just kind of want to break free with this song and really focus on living, loving life and not caring about what happens if this happens or if that happens," she said. "Just feeling free."
  • Merton explained to Billboard that "Learn to Live" is a reminder to herself to face her fears. "It reminds me that if you're scared of everything in life, you're not actually gonna live," she added. "You're not gonna enjoy what's happening and it took me a really long time to understand that."
