  • Alisan Porter first found fame as a child actress playing the title character in John Hughes's 1991 romantic comedy Curly Sue. As an adult, Porter pursued roles in musical theatre, including a run on Broadway in The Ten Commandments: The Musical. A solo album followed in 2009.

    In 2016, Porter auditioned for the tenth season of The Voice. She was announced as the winner, the first act to triumph with a female coach, having been mentored by Christina Aguilera.
  • This was Alisan Porter's The Voice coronation song which she wrote with her friends and writing partners lsey Juber and Ely Rise. It was inspired by her recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Porter told Buddy TV: "This song just flowed out. It was easy to write because it was so a part of my journey on the show."
