Songfacts®:

  • This song is about two lovers who are separated for an unknown reason. Alex Garsgarth is pleading with the girl to "close the space" between them so they can be together. He tells her, "You're my favorite place."
  • Said Gasgarth to Kerrang: "I imagined the story of two star-crossed lovers, and it's really that adage of, 'We're both in different places, but we're staring at the same stars.' I felt like we hadn't written that [style of] song for the record yet, and everybody loves a love song!"
  • The song features All Time Low's labelmates The Band Camino. Gaskarth explained to American Songwriter that when he was writing this song he felt he was channeling their styling. He hit them up, told them, "This song reminds me of you guys, like All Time Low doing The Band Camino," and invited them onboard.
