Songfacts®:

  • This tongue-in-cheek song is an overview of Asking Alexandra's career and how they've stayed ahead of the curve. Frontman Danny Worsnop explained ro Alternative Press:

"It's a f--king comedy song. It bears truth to it, as most humor does, but for the most part, it's just me being a dumbass. When we released Stand Up And Scream and it blew up, all of a sudden you hear a lot of albums that sounded exactly like it. And then we released Reckless & Relentless; it blew up, and all of a sudden you hear a lot of albums that sound exactly like it. And then we released From Death To Destiny, and you start to hear a lot of albums that sound exactly like it. And then I released [We Are] Harlot, and then now, you're starting to hear a lot of albums that sound exactly like it.

There is truth in there where it's the whole writing the records your favorite bands rip off in the records. But I'd rather be the first foot in the door someone else comes through and blows up in the industry, than not even be near the door."
