Songfacts®:

  • The Audio Bullys are an English production duo formed in 2001 by Simon Franks and Tom Dinsdale in their hometown of Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey. Having first cracked the UK Top 20 with a single created out of Bunny & The Wolf Sisters' 1985 track "Big Bad Wolf," the Audio Bullys turned their attention to Nancy Sinatra's rendition of Cher's 1966 hit tune "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)," which was duly torn apart, sampled and reassembled by the pair. Their dance interpretation became The Audio Bullys' biggest hit in the UK, peaking at #3 in 2005.
  • The pair released three albums together, before Dinsdale left the group in February 2012. Franks continues to perform live as Audio Bullys, alongside DJ Andy Amfo.
