Songfacts®:

  • Originally intended to make the Waking The Fallen album as a full song, this was ultimately reworked into a vocal free intro. Later the band drew inspiration from the tune's piano intro, building it out into their hit single "Beast And The Harlot" off Avenged Sevenfold's next album, City Of Evil. The original song was eventually included as the title track of the album's 2014 deluxe reissue.
