  • New York DJ Baauer teamed up with Hip-Hop producer Just Blaze for his follow up to "Harlem Shake." Both producers toured together throughout January and February 2013. Just Blaze also produced T.I.'s chart-topper "Live Your Life" as well as three tracks on Eminem's Recovery album. Though officially released commercially on August 13, 2013, fans had been able to listen to the song since early in the year, when Just Blaze made it available on his Soundcloud page.
  • Just Blaze has also worked extensively with Jay-Z and he opened up his contacts book to recruit the Hip-Hop mogul to jump in with some rhymes stitched into the EDM track.
  • The song was commercially released through Priority Records, a formerly defunct American hip-hop music label owned and operated by Universal Music Group. Between 1987 and 1996. Priority's roster featured such legendary hip-hop artists as N.W.A., Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Master P, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Mack 10, Eazy-E and Ice-T. Priority was re-launched in July 2013 via a joint venture between Capitol Music Group and Insurgency.
  • The song's music video was directed by Nabil, who has previously worked with Kanye West, Bon Iver, Arctic Monkeys and Frank Ocean. The epic clip featuring students from Vishwabharath Kalari Sangam, a martial arts school in India, practicing the Indian martial art known as kalari.
