Songfacts®:

  • On Badflower's debut album OK, I'm Sick, frontman Josh Katz croons frankly and honestly about his struggles with mental health, including depression, panic disorder and suicidal thoughts. This song, a re-working of a 2016 Badflower single of the same name, finds the singer playing with the line between addiction and love.

"We took a different approach with this song than the others on the album," Katz said about the tune. "We've been playing it for so many years and we didn't want to over-think the production so we decided to self-produce the song at our house in the desert in 24 hours. We didn't want it to sound perfect, we wanted to keep it raw."
  • The song became Badflower's first #1 on a Billboard radio airplay chart when it climbed to the summit of the Mainstream Rock Songs tally dated May 25, 2019.
