Songfacts®:

  • Band of Skulls are a British alternative rock band that was formed in Southampton, England by childhood friends guitarist Russell Marsden and drummer Matt Hayward. They were joined by vocalist Emma Richardson while at art college. The trio found themselves playing regularly at the Talking Heads club in Southampton, where a sign of Hamlet holding a skull inspired their name. Their debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey was released on March 20, 2009.
  • The group came to the attention of an international audience when this song was used in the Twilight movie New Moon in a scene in which Bella, the protagonist of the series rides a motorcycle with a stranger. Richardson told Clash magazine January 2010: "It was just something commercially we were asked to do and it's the one thing every member said yes to, so of course we did it." She added that none of the group had any experience of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series so they offered up this song, which was a cast-off from Baby Darling Doll Face Honey."

  • Jessica from Richmond, VaLOVE this song. I don't care if you love or hate Twilight, you have to admit that their soundtracks are really good.
