Songfacts®:

  • An early version of this song was first performed by Bastille at a number of shows between 2014 and 2015. This initial interpretation featured a huge, rumbling guitar and quickly became a fan favorite. However, once Bastille came to record the tune for their Other People's Heartache, Pt. 4 album in collaboration with Seeb, they transformed it into a blissful club production.

Norwegian EDM duo Seeb are best known for their remix of Mike Posner's "I Took a Pill in Ibiza," which charted worldwide in 2016.
  • Dan Smith said in a press release: "Seeb turned our big, messy guitar song into something new and completely different, but it still feels wholly in keeping with the escapist theme of the song: the euphoria and horrors of a late, late night. When the drop happens it's like you get sucked back into the weirdness of the night or like a door's been opened into the clubby world of Seeb. Their production takes it somewhere we never would have expected."

Seeb added that they were both very much involved in the collaboration even though the Norwegian duo and Bastille were all in different locations, at one point even in three different continents.
  • Dan Smith told NME that Seeb completed flipped his vocal, and when he first heard it, he laughed at the way it "flies astronomically up into the air."
