The press release states that the record, "follows the story of a woman whose fiancé has been killed in a crash on the way to the church for their wedding. The Bride flees the scene to take the honeymoon trip alone, resulting in a dark meditation on love, loss, grief, and celebration."
• The record is linked to a short film I Do, which was written and directed by the singer. "The arc of a character to me is most interesting when it's intercepted by something that prevents that character from fulfilling their role," Khan told MTV News.
