Songfacts®:

  • This is a retraction, if you will, to the band's earlier song "Where's Summer B.?," which was written about BFF drummer Darren Jessee's girlfriend, Summer. After they broke up, Darren was inspired to write this little gem about her. Summer was classy enough, as we learn in the song, to wait to end their relationship until after Darren paid for their dinner.
  • Ben Folds Five have a version of this song that they recorded in Japanese. >>>

  • Karl from Ingatestone, United KingdomI wonder why they sang this in Japanese, is it because they love the Japanese people, or is it they had fat success in Japan.
i can sing this in different languages, like Hindi, Icelandic, Liverpudlian, and Glaswegian.

i want to buy the Whatever And Ever Amen album from Ben Folds Five, but i have to wait until Christmas to play it in full
