Songfacts®:

  • This was the first single from British soul and R&B singer Beverly Knight's sixth studio album, 100%.
  • This bittersweet lament was written by Knight with songwriter Amanda Ghost (James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" and Beyoncé and Shakira's "Beautiful Liar"), and produced by the London based duo The Rural (Gym Class Heroes, Beyoncé).
  • Knight explained in publicity materials the lyrics are about love and loss: "It's about holding on to the moment you are in," she said, "because sooner or later you may have to say goodbye to that person you love."
