Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Sir Luscious Left Foot: Son Of Chico Dusty, an album by OutKast member Big Boi released by Def Jam. In 2003 he and his OutKast partner Andre 3000 released solo projects bundled into an group album with Speakerboxx/The Love Below, but this was his proper solo debut.
  • Three of the tracks were due to feature guest vocals from Andre 3000. However OutKast's label, Jive Records, blocked Def Jam from releasing the trio of songs, as Outkast remain under contract to Jive. The label claimed that as the three tracks in question feature both halves of the Outkast enterprise, they fell under their deal. This tune, which is produced by Andre 3000, was his only remaining contribution to Sir Luscious Left Foot.

Big Boi's frustration was heightened by the fact that Jive was given first refusal on the whole album but knocked the project back. He told GQ magazine: "It's plain stupidity. It's stupid business and it's stupid politics. Jive Records told me my album [was] a piece of art, and they didn't know what to do with it. So, I moved it over to Def Jam. And now Jive is trying to block Dre from being on my record. We can't be on songs together now."
  • The song features Alabama-born rapper Yelawolf.
  • The song's music video was directed by Parris and mostly features Big Boi rapping to the camera and trading verses with Yelawolf.
