Songfacts®:

  • Billy Talent frontman Ben Kowalewicz told Kerrang!: "Ian (D'Sa, guitar) and I were working on a song and we came up with these melodies which were hopeful and inspiring. Ian was going through a break-up and I had just lost a friend of mine. He wanted to write about his relationship and I wanted to write about loss. We met in the middle and the song came together. In the first half of the song, you think the song is about a couple of breaking-up, but towards the end of the song, you realise the guy is single is because the girl has passed away. That song really stands out for me."
