  • This was the first and only gold record for Grace Kelly and was the 21st gold record for Bing Crosby. The song stayed on the charts for 22 weeks, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song in 1956, though it lost to Doris Day's "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)."
  • High Society was a musical remake of the classic 1940 award winning movie The Philadelphia Story, which won a Best Actor Oscar for James Stewart and which also starred Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. The engagement ring that Grace Kelly wears in High Society is the actual engagement ring given to her by Prince Rainier of Monaco. This was Grace Kelly's final movie before becoming Princess Grace. >>>

  • Elton John and Kiki Dee recorded this for the 1993 album Duets. It reunited Elton and Kiki, who had scored with a much loved hit, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," back in 1976. Though 27 years had passed since then, they still clicked and the public loved it. While promoting the song, Kiki Dee revealed that she became infatuated with Elton John back in 1976, but that he didn't return the feelings for reasons that are more obvious today. Nevertheless, they became good friends. >>>
