Although the post break-up hook-up song wasn't written by Shelton (it was penned by Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan), it appears to more than hint at the singer's change of circumstances. "I've had a lot of music over the years but I don't think I've ever had a song before that's such a direct look into my life," said Shelton "That's why I'm so excited about this particular song."

• The song served as the lead single of If I'm Honest, an album where Shelton touches on both the pain of a breakup and the happiness of a new relationship. The singer told The Tennessean that he kicked off the set with this track for a reason.
  
  "I love that it kind of has a dark feel to it, but there's a little, tiny glimmer of hope in there, too," he explained. "That's a good one to throw out there first because it touches on both subjects, going through the break up trying to forget about them and now I'm meeting the person that's helping me get there."
