• Blind Melon lead singer Shannon Hoon died of a drug overdose in 1995 a few months after the band's second album, Soup, was released. This track didn't make that album, but was included on Nico, which was assembled from what was left of their Hoon material.
  
  In this foreboding song, Hoon references his drug use. The group's guitar player Christopher Thorn, who was also on drugs at the time, told us, "I remember being in a subway in Paris, France with Shannon, when he told me the lyrics. We were spinning out of control doing drugs around that time and I knew it was about our experience together doing heroin."
• When the band recorded their Soup album, "Pull" was included on the tracklist. Their label boss wanted them to rework the track into something radio-friendly, but the band refused, pulling it from the album instead.
