• Tom DeLonge of blink-182 wrote this nostalgic track about the summers of his adolescence, which were filled with skateboarding and wreaking havoc around his San Diego hometown with his friends.
  
  "Everybody has old summer memories. This is my song about going to the beach and hanging with my homeslices," he recalled in a 2001 tour program. "This song is about going skateboarding from 12 noon to 12 midnight every day of the week. And most of all, it's about going to parties when peoples' parents were gone. This is a song about kids wrecking the town and leaving a sign to the next generation... one that they will have to top."
• During the intro, a conversation can be heard going on behind DeLonge's vocals. This was his bandmate Mark Hoppus and the album's producer, Jerry Finn, who were chatting about heavy metal bands, unaware that the door was open and a recording session was taking place.
• The album opener, "Anthem, Pt. 2," was also inspired by DeLonge's youthful antics that got him into trouble.
• While the band regarded Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, their fourth studio album, as edgier than its smash predecessor, Enema Of The State, it fit into the same pop-punk mold with the same toilet-humor sensibility (complete with a masturbation pun as its title). It wasn't until the untitled follow-up in 2003 that blink-182 truly shifted their sound to experiment with darker elements and more mature themes, which split their fanbase but brought them more critical acclaim.
