Songfacts®:

  • This is the first Bloc Party song to be both written and performed by the lineup of frontman Kele Okereke, guitarist Russell Lissack, bassist Justin Harris and drummer Louise Bartle. The latter two replaced Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong in 2015.
  • The song was released on Sept. 20, 2015, though it was first conceived when the band was on tour in Australia nine months earlier. "It was an idea that we worked on at soundchecks and was one of the first ideas to come along after Justin and Louise joined the band," Okereke said.

Okereke added that the band were due to play their biggest-ever headlining show in the US at the Hollywood Bowl on September 25, 2016, a "significant milestone for the band," and they wanted to mark it with a new release.
  • The song's music video was directed by Los Angeles-based photographer Rachael Wright. The clip showcases behind the scenes footage from Bloc Party's 2016 North American tour and their appearance at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival.
