Songfacts®:

  • The lead single from Blondie's eleventh studio album, Pollinator, this disco-leaning track finds Debbie Harry proclaiming that she can't get enough of a new love interest: "You're all over me, can't deny it. You make a room come alive."

The song was released on February 1, 2017.
  • Debbie Harry wrote the song with Blondie's Chris Stein and their fellow New Yorker, TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek.
  • The song topped Billboard Dance Club Songs becoming Blondie’s first #1 since a remix of "Atomic" reached the summit in 1995.
  • Asked by The Sun about the Pollinator album title, Harry replied: "I just visualized a transformer, an insect robot. Then I thought terminator and then pollinator. How do I know how my brain works? I put something in there and it spins around... and something comes out."
  • The video was directed by Beyoncé collaborator Dikyal Rimmasch. The lighthearted clip features colourful images of an astronaut landing on Mars and meeting there an intergalactic character played by RuPaul's Drag Race Season 3 winner Raja. The shots are contrasted with black and white clips of the band playing the track.

Chris Stein explained why they went for an intergalactic theme on their clip; "Quoting Emma Goldman, 'If I can't dance I don't want to be part of your revolution.' In these trying times we need some fun. We're very serious about fun."
  • Speaking to NME, Stein said: "The video was shot in two places – the color stuff was all shot in LA without us and the black and white stuff was shot in New York. It's got some good cameos – it's got a pretty big cameo from Raja, who's one of the Drag Race superstars, and little cameos from Grace McKagan, Duff McKagan's daughter who has a band called The Pink Slips, and also Tony Maserati, who was a producer and mixer for us."
