  • Daniel from Winchester, Ohio-coughs- no wonder this was one of my former best friend's favorite bands. Also I can't belivee my comment is still there after all these years man.
  • Valleyjaye from Around Dallas, Txjustin's book says about this song "when sanctuaries house monsters their is nothing left holy in this world. they should each die for every promise kept under god..." he said in an frnd.tv interview that he wants his daughter to know that he spoke for the right things. well congratulations justin, writing about papal atrocities is a really good start sweetheart! there is also a black shirt tied to this song. the front shows jesus falling off the cross and the back says 'for promises under god' i wear it to church! ..true blue october fan here, if ya couldn't tell = )
  • Daniel from Winchester, OhYeah I already knew what it was about btw I love this song
  • Mariana from Florianópolis, BrazilI saw Justin talking about this sing on an interview [you can actually find it on youtube by the name "razorblade interview by Blue October"].

He said that he was in the middle of the recording process of the album, when he saw things on tv about people who found out their kids were sexually abused by preachers/priests.

He was pretty pissed off, 'cause church is a place where you were supposed to feel safe, it was supposed to be a kind of sanctuary.
  • Sarah from Jacksonville, FlI got the interpretation that the one who is sexually abusing the subject was a priest, and that the subject was young. Did anyone else?
