Songfacts®:

  • This is the third single by rapper B.o.B, from his second studio album, Strange Clouds. The song was produced by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder who is better known for his collaborations with pop artists such as Leona Lewis ("Bleeding Love") and Beyoncé ("Halo"). Tedder also provided the beat for "Wrong" a track on B.o.B's mixtape, EPIC (Every Play Is Crucial). "So Good" was released on February 21, 2012.
  • B.o.B described this cut during a listening session interview with Mack of Sound Savvy as a, "victory lap song with a big sound that a lot of people will gravitate towards."
  • The song's music video was helmed by New York-based director/photographer Justin Francis and shot on location in Buenos Aires, Argentina in February 2012. Francis' resume also includes the visual for Alicia Keys' "No One," which was the most viewed clip on the Yahoo! Music site in 2008.
  • Asked by Hiphop-N-More whether he made this song specifically to be a single, B.o.B replied: "Ryan Tedder and I were just working in the studio and the hook just came on. We actually made a lot of songs together and this was one of the products. We were just sitting on that record for a while, we really didn't know what to do with it. We just thought when the timing is right, we'll drop it as a single."
