Songfacts®:

  • In his autobiography - which he co-wrote with Mick Wall - music supremo Don Arden said that after Britt Ekland appeared on Rod Stewart's "Tonight's The Night" video, there was some interest in her, and Arden arranged for her to record this track in her own right.

"She told me she had always wanted to be a singer first and an actress second. It wasn't a bad record, either - there have been a lot worse - but there was no hope really. During the first couple of weeks we worked it fairly hard, but there was no reaction whatsoever. It was a dud."

Arden is right, the song is certainly a good dance track, but ultimately it is the record buying public who decide if a song should succeed commercially.

Recorded on the Jet label, it is credited to Nissenson, Grody and Delia, produced by Joel Diamond and arranged by Kenny Lehman. The B-side is "Private Party." >>>
