  • Broods are the New Zealand sibling duo, Georgia and Caleb Nott. The pair flew in their teenage sister, Olivia, to provide vocals for this track. "It was like a surprise," Georgia told Billboard magazine. "She's really pedantic and gets worried about stuff, and she made me sit behind her in the booth while she was recording, and she would turn straight around after every take and be like, 'Was that okay? How was that?'"
  • This is the most emotional track on the Evergreen album. Caleb commented to MTV News: "It's probably one of the most depressing songs you'll ever hear."

Georgia added: "It's a very straight-up 'this is how I feel' song and it's a bit too honest to play in front of people."
