  • Bryan Ferry told All Songs Considered hosts Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton about bringing together rock, disco and jazz musicians for this recording: "I did the keyboards and Johnny Marr's playing the guitar," he said. "Then you hear Nile Rodgers enter on the chorus. Marcus Miller's playing the bass. I'm very happy with the way it turned out."

"I tend to start the thing on piano first," Ferry continued. "I do the sketch on piano. Normally, at home. Then I bring it to the studio later and then start turning it into something. I give them a free rein normally, because I know how sympathetic they will play. Over the years, you get to form really firm musical bonds with people. And I first worked with some of these guys and boys and girls back in '83, so we go back quite a long way."
