Songfacts®:

  • Guitarist Keith Nelson told Pulse of Radio that this song takes the group back to its musical roots in more ways than one. He explained; "It reminds me of a song that we wrote early, early on that some of our most hardcore fans will know, 'Fastback 69.' It was one of the songs that we played as Sparrow in all of our club days before the band got signed. So in a way it's new ground for us, and in another way it's kind of like us at our most rootsy where we come from, which is that down and dirty kind of thing."
