Songfacts®:

  • Butch Walker is best known for his songwriting and producing for artists ranging from Weezer to Pink to Hot Hot Heat. However, he has also had success as a recording artist, firstly as lead vocalist and guitarist for Alternative Rock band Marvelous 3 from 1997 until 2001 and since then as a solo singer-songwriter. This anthemic meditation on the absurdity of modern life is the first single from Walker's fifth studio album, I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart. The record features eleven songs co-written by Walker and his songwriting partner Michael Trent.
