  • Kevin Martin sings here about gun violence. About.com asked the Candlebox frontman what inspired him to write the song's lyrics. He replied:

    "Well, obviously at the time when it was being written there was a lot going on in the world with gun violence and it's still happening on a daily basis. We're seeing these mindless killings and unfortunately accidents – a woman being shot by her 4-year-old.

    Really it's written from the perspective of a person who's saying that their Second Amendment rights are being taken from them which is not true, it's not the case. No one's trying to take your guns or rights away. But we as First Amendment believers have a right to our opinions and the reason they're called Amendments is because they can be changed. And something needs to be done. I wanted to make a statement about the fact that regardless of your argument there still needs to be a change in our rights as a society to choose not to have guns."
