Songfacts®:

  • This song was recorded by Cara Delevingne for the soundtrack of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, in which she plays the role of Laureline. The tune was penned by the actress and model back in 2014 with Pharrell Williams way before she knew she was going to do the movie.
  • The song came from Delevingne's first recording session with Pharrell Williams. "It was the first time I ever recorded with him," she explained to Vogue. "He put down the beat, I wrote the track and recorded it all on one day."
  • Delevingne's collaboration with Pharrell Williams also produced the song "CC the World." That track was used for the short 2014 Chanel film Reincarnation in which both of them star.
