  • Built around the repetition of the title phrase, this song has a double meaning being about both the intensity of dependency and love's trapping nature. "It's gets caught in that loop, that kind of dead eyed stare," Caribou commented to NME. "When I was younger, I would be embarrassed to write about love or to be so overt about it, but also I had a kind of more simplistic, fairytale version of it: when you're in a relationship with somebody and you fall in love and that's it, you're happy for ever, which is nobody's experience, really. It's always changing and compromised and complicated, but that's kind of what is wonderful and I think that's what gives life its meaning – its complexity."
  • The music video was directed by Lorenzo Fonda, whose other credits include the clips for The Scissor Sisters' "Only the Horses" and "Baby Come Home." The visual follows a little boy out on a play date with a rainbow-colored, giant piñata fish before the two are forced to part ways.
