Songfacts®:

  • When a guest arrives, it's polite to say, "Come in and make yourself comfortable," but in this song, that guest is a guy, and Caroline Jones doesn't want him to get too comfortable because she's not sure they're going to hit it off. "Park your truck facing out" she tells him, "'cause I wouldn't want to be you when I want you gone."

"I'm always searching for unique and clever turns of phrase," she said. "What started as a joke between myself and my recording team then turned into a tongue-in-cheek, empowering rockabilly foot-stomper with a whole lot of sass!"
  • Jones wrote the song with Jorge Stelling and produced it with Ric Wake. She recorded it with session musicians in Nashville as the first single from her second album.
