Songfacts®:

  • Cascada are a German club act, consisting of producers Yanou and DJ Manian along with vocalist Natalie Horler.
  • In the US this became a hit thanks to radio's discovery of the "Yanou Candlelight Mix," which removed the trance beat of the original replacing it with a piano and turned the song into a haunting ballad. This version was made for American radio stations that generally don't play Dance songs.
  • This borrows a chorus by Scottish singer Maggie Reilly from "Everytime We Touch," which was on her 1992 album Echoes. Maggie Reilly is a frequent collaborator with electronic composer Mike Oldfield. In 1983 she provided vocals for his #4 UK hit "Moonlight Shadow."
  • This reached #1 in Ireland and Sweden. >>>

  • "Everytime We Touch" has become a hype anthem at Duke University basketball games in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Cameron Crazies, Duke's student section, famously sing and dance along to the song before games. The Duke pep band also plays the tune.

  • Dan from México, D.f., MexicoI have the sneaky feeling that the video of this song was done in the Aberdeen Library. Can anybody confirm that?
  • Emily from Around Chicago, IlI love this song so much...it's so pretty
  • Daniel from Swansea, United Kingdomthe song went to #2 in the UK charts, not #4, cuz it was held behind Shakira's 'Hips Don't Lie' :)
  • Jr from Cant Remember, NeMy name is Michael and this song is actually about the girl i love Madison and it describes our relationship and how much i love her
  • Jailene from K-town, WaI love this song to pieces because it totally describes my last relationship. I guess there are a lot of songs that do that, though, but only because it was so many-sided and there were a lot of different aspects that made it so great and surprising. Anyway, I love listening to this song, and it's fun to sing, too. I don't think I've ever met anyone who absolutely hated this song.
  • Katy from Portland, Ori luv this song. it is so romantic. also i'm really good at singing it.
  • Jackie from Elyria, Ohthis is an ok song, cascada's song miracle is better
