Songfacts®:

  • Chance the Rapper's The Big Day album is a celebration of his marriage to his childhood sweetheart Kirsten Corley. The Chicago MC explained to Beats 1's Zane Lowe that he wanted the record to sound like the music he danced to on his wedding night when DJ Pharris manned the decks; this '90s-sounding celebration of escaping bachelorhood certainly fits the mold.

"We all danced our hearts out," Chance recalled. "It was the hardest I ever danced in my life and I'm a great longtime dancer. Everything in it is all the different styles of music that make me want to dance and remind me of that day and remind me of that night and all those people that were there."
  • The producer TrapMoneyBenny, best known for contributing to Drake's "In My Feelings," was brought in by Chance's regular collaborator Nate Fox to add some finishing touches to five of the album's tracks. He told Rolling Stone "Found a Good One" was the last song he worked on and also his favorite one as it was "very Nineties-esque."

Said TrapMoneyBenny: "That was one where Nate was like, this needs something - different swelling, build-up, atmospheric stuff to make it work a little better. This was a really late-night one. I was drinking the most coffee."
  • The R&B female vocal trio SWV contributed additional vocals to the track.
