Songfacts®:

  • Brown penned this song with David Sneddon (Lana Del Rey, Hurts) and producer Mustaq. They wrote it the day Brown broke up with a girlfriend and the distraught singer-songwriter penned lyrics comparing a relationship to an addiction to a former lover. "David must have thought I was a lunatic," he laughed recalling their writing session. "I got there, slunk in the corner on my Blackberry, calling my ex for the tenth time. They started to compose the song with piano and a beat, and I wrote the lyrics. We recorded it in the hallway of their house. Five minutes later, I left, still staring desperately at my phone which refused to ring!"
