Songfacts®:

  • This 2-step roller that pays homage to the UK garage movement of the late '90s features vocals by Ed Thomas. The London-based singer, songwriter and producer has previously worked with such Dubstep acts as Submotion Orchestra, Planas and Author as well as collaborating with electronic music duo Bondax on their single "Giving It All."
  • The song was released as the fourth single from Brand New Machine with additional remixes by Preditah, Calibre and Zedd Blass.
  • After listening to Ed Thomas's demo, Chase & Status fell in love with his vocals and wanted his voice to be the centerpiece of the record. Saul Milton, aka Chase, explained in a Spotify commentary: "We wanted to write a track that got the beauty of what he’s singing across and the sound of his voice rather than just concentrating on the beats and the bass."
