  • This was Chicago's first hit after the death of guitarist Terry Kath, who accidentally shot himself on January 23, 1978. To mark a new era for the band, they broke tradition and did not name the album after the band. Hot Streets followed Chicago XI, but their next album picked up the old format and was titled Chicago 13.
