Songfacts®:

  • Tonio K, who is best known for co-penning Vanessa Williams and Brian McKnight's 1993 hit "Love Is," teamed up with the legendary songwriter Burt Bacharach to pen some tunes. Several of them ended up on Bacharach's 2005 album At This Time. This was the first song to come out of their collaboration.
  • The hook up between the two songwriters originally came about as both of them writing tunes for the movie, Grace of My Heart. Tonio K told us that it was his publisher at the time, Jolene Cherry, who suggested that the pair collaborate. "We got together and headed off," Tonio recalled. "He laid one track on me and said, 'What do you think of that?' And I liked it and brought it back up here and wrote a lyric and then went back and we demoed it and Chicago recorded it."
