  • Irish singer-songwriter and producer Cian Ducrot explores themes of love, lust and heartbreak on this haunting track. He sings of his regrets over a relationship with a girl who has now moved onto someone else. Ducrot wishes he'd shown her how much he loves her by walking her home each night and kissing her "ten thousand times."

I should have done it all
    All for you, baby

Now he's too late, and he hopes her new man is what she needs.
  • Ducrot wrote and produced this stripped-back love song himself. He composed much of "All For You" on the piano in his living room while also writing some in his head as he went about his daily routine. The Irish musician took the best part of a week to get every lyric and melody right. "A lot of it came very naturally during my first sit-down at the piano to write the song," Ducrot said, "but finessing it after took some time."

Producing the song was easier because of the stripped-back nature of the track.
  • Ducrot initially previewed a verse of "All for You" on TikTok. After it generated over 4 million views, Jimmy Fallon featured the song on the March 23, 2022 episode of The Tonight Show, where the host and Joe Jonas added their own improvised lyrics in an open verse challenge. Ducrot released the full song as a single on April 7, 2022.
  • Ducrot garnered his first entry on the UK singles chart when "All For You" entered the listing dated April 24, 2022 at #53. That same week he also earned his first chart entry as a producer for another artist when Lauren Spencer-Smith's "Flowers," which he co-wrote and produced, debuted at #18.

Ducrot wrote both songs around the same time. He penned "Flowers" first and around ten days later he finished "All For You."
  • Cian Ducrot teamed up with British singer-songwriter Ella Henderson for a duet version of "All For You." The pair wrote and recorded the fresh spin at Tileyard Studios in London.
