Songfacts®:

  • Songwriting is a team effort for Circa Survive, but lead singer Anthony Green writes most of their lyrics, often using his family as inspiration.

This song is about his three older brothers. Growing up, they introduced him to a wide range of music, including metal and grunge. In our interview with Green, he explained that this is a very important song for him. "It's a lower register for me to sing and it's a personal song that I really enjoy singing," he explained. "I liked writing it, I like what it's about. It helps me. No matter what the situation is, I always really get into it when we play that song. It helps me connect."
