Songfacts®:

  • The third single from New Eyes, this was released on July 19, 2013 peaking at #43 on the UK singles chart. It also reached the Top 5 in Ukraine.
  • The song features the voices of Jack Patterson (bass guitar and keyboards) as well as Swedish songwriter and producer Noonie Bao.
  • The song's music video was shot on a frozen lake in Sweden. The clip references Henry Raeburn's late 18th century oil painting The Skating Minister, who is portrayed by the father of one of Clean Bandit's friends, Nick Martin. The skater can be seen at one point dressed in the same clothes and copying the exact pose as in the artwork.

Raeburn's 'Skating Minister' was the Reverend Robert Walker (1755-1808). As well as being a Church of Scotland clergyman, the Reverend Walker was also a member of the Edinburgh Skating Club, the first figure skating club formed anywhere in the world.
