Songfacts®:

  • This Neptunes-produced track is a single from Hip Hop duo Clipse's third studio album, Till the Casket Drops.
  • The song features some poignant lyrics inspired by the incarceration of the duo's manager and friend, Anthony "Geezy" Gonzalez on drugs and firearms charges. Clipse co-frontman Malice told MTV News: "The show don't stop, we know what we gotta do. So we're out here doing it. The situation has been hard as well as heartbreaking. But I got the faith everything is gonna work out for the best. I believe everything happens for a reason. We still take care of our fam. We never leave our fam behind."
Gonzalez was jailed for 32 years in January 2010 after pleading guilty to running a $20 million drug ring, the minimum sentence allowed under federal law.
  • Malice elaborated on this track to MTV News: "[That's a] real crazy track. It's everything you want to see, how life is at home for us: getting money, the 'hood and your homies. We lost a lot of family, so... When I say 'family,' I mean people that were down with us, people near and dear to our hearts. Entourage. People who helped build this whole Clipse thing. We been through a lot, but we're still celebrating - remembering how everything was, how it was supposed to be."
